Control Charts
The purpose of Control Charts is to help our understanding of variation so that we can analyse past events and predict future events more accurately.
Basically a Control Chart is simply a run chart or graph with statistically derived control limits which allow us to separate random variation, the level of which may be predicted, from special events which are by their nature unpredictable.
Control Charts may be used to predict such things as production levels, defect levels, response times, sales and other key business metrics. They are an important aid to decision making.
Walker Associates works with clients to improve business efficiency through the application of Control Charts to both management and manufacturing data. We focus on their practical use rather than a detailed understanding of the mathematics.
